Today, I am 5!!!!!

Hardly seems possible that just a few years ago I couldn't even walk or talk; because I can do both of those things like nobody's business now! I'm also getting quite clever, and late last night when everybody thought I was asleep I was really peeking from under my bedroom door into the living room where I saw Mummy and a FANTASTIC Mac Hauler with a Shake N Go Lightning McQueen... which I DID have on my birthday list! So I said a tiny little 'Hello'... it was pretty quiet out there and then people started to move around and ask questions, like this:
Mummy: Ethan, what are you doing?
Me: I see something!
Daddy: What do you see buddy?
Me: I see the Mac Hauler and the Shake N Go McQueen!
Suddenly the Mac Hauler was gone...and I was being told to go back to bed!!! Nuts!!! Don't worry, I got another look at what they were doing when I had to pee...and I told them I had to poop. After that I was out of stuff to say so I had to stay in bed!

Bright and early this morning (3:30 AM to be precise) I wiggled into bed with my Nana, and I woke her up. After a few minutes I told her I was going to wake up Mummy & Daddy, but she strongly suggested I return to my bed. I didn't want to.... so I basically stayed awake until about 5:45AM when I woke up those parents of mine and demanded the birthday fun begin! YEAH, BIRTHDAY FUN! All I really wanted was to open that Mac Hauler.... so I did! And I got other stuff too! From Mummy & Daddy, and Nana too! THEN Daddy went and got me Dunkin Donuts. Good times!!!!

After that we played a little bit, and I took a short nap. Then it was off to my party at Jump On IN Fun in Nashua, NH. (Note from Mum: this is an EXCELLENT place to do a kids party. Loads of fun for the kids, and they were tired when they left!) 2 full room of jumping, sliding and climbing fun on the inflatables! Loads of fun for all - but I think the adults might have been having more fun than us... they climb really fast!!! At first, I was kinda shy and I didn't really want to do anything -- but once I gave in and went on the first slide I was totally hooked. I went on the slide a bunch of times with Mum, Dad, and Lexi! (I love Lexi!). After play time was over, we had pizza, and juice, and a super groovy Toy Story cake. It was so much fun!

I wonder what they will plan for next year.....

Groovy Cupcakes - the project of today

Tomorrow I start back to school. But today was still Summer and Mummy and I made tie-dyed cupcakes! I helped all over the place... poured the mix, added the oil, AND the eggs, and don't forget that I got to lick the beater!!

So here we go - we made 5 colors:

Mummy says the "Rock Star" isn't necessary...but it helps. What do I know??

Then we poured the stuff into the pan, and gave them all a swirl! Truth be told by this time I was playing my game in the living room...but Mummy told me what was happening all the way.

They came out super cool, but Mum says we had a 'causality'...

We decorated them together - super fun!! We made one for my teacher Miss Laurie, and then I wanted to take one to school for snack, so we decorated one for my only classmate AJ and one for me.

Hopkinton Fair!

So the word is that when the fairs start it's getting to be Fall. I love the fair....but I don't want to be done with Summer yet. Mummy and I have had a fantastic summer and I want it to keep going on!!!

But, we did go to the fair in Hopkinton today and I had a fantastic time! I LOVE the rides, and Mummy and Daddy say that I am a 'thrill seeker'. I'm not so sure what that means, but I can tell you that if it spins, goes fast, or goes up and down I want to ride it! Last year I went to a fair, but I didn't want to see the rides -- this year is a whole new thing!

My favorite ride was these cars. I told Mummy so, 2 times...so you KNOW that I liked them!

I drove in the back of this Fire engine too!

Daddy took me on a ROLLER COASTER...I really do like them!

Mummy went on the Merry-Go-Round with me.

Daddy loves the spinning rides just like me - YAY!

I also rode in a spaceship....

Believe it or not...Mummy let me ride in the Crazy Bus which goes really, really high!

Naturally there was food...and I particularly enjoyed the ice cream.

Cheeseburger please....

Daddy was cooking on the BBQ today, and I was really hungry. My norm is to have a hot dog...but when Daddy asked me if I wanted a hot dog or a hamburger I said Cheeseburger please! Once the whole thing was put together... bun, brown thing, cheese, bun I didn't really like the looks of it at all. So I was SURE there was something I didn't want on that cheeseburger...it was the brown thing! Daddy said it was the hamburger... but he loves me so he took it off. That was great and now I'm totally excited to have my cheeseburger, and my standard hot dog!

Daddy calls this a McHindu. I don't really care, I loved it!

I'm happy to be home....

I had fantastic times with my family in CT and MA! I really did. I saw cousins, aunties, uncles, and of course my favorite 'Nanny'. Here's a picture of my big ole family!

Once I got home Mommy and I relaxed a little bit and then Daddy got home late last night. I was extremely excited to see him this morning, and just this afternoon Mommy and I made some yummy cheese cake! I totally helped!!!
